![]() I consider it on par with something like "Moonstruck" where all the characters just fit like they were made for this part. The casting is great - all the characters are perfect and work. The old man - the grandfather is terribly rough on his own kids, but when his bad son shows up with a mixed race child from his liason with stripper and some mafia types on his trail, the grandfather takes the child in and loves him, but also tries his best to help his bad son mend his ways.Īlso a young Keanu Reeves is very funny and thoughtful and hot hot hot. There's good parents and bad parents and some that are both. It makes you laugh and hurt for the characters who hurt for their family. The movie is fun because it highlights the good and the bad of parenting and points out that you never stop being a parent. Also at the old Publix in Lake land where we live. Why I love it: They filmed this in the late 80's partially at the University of Florida when I was a student there. This character is supposed to be the good dad, yet he he counsels killing his child. What I didn't like: The dad gets angry when his wife tells him they are having another kid and he complains that women have choices and men have responsibilities. ![]() Or when the power goes out at a family dinner, the dad in the pitch black darkness says "I'll get the fuse box - I found a flashlight in my sister's top drawer" just then the lights come one and he's holding a 10" dildo. What is too graphic: The mom gives the dad a blow job while he is driving and he drives into a pole. I love this movie.Fun movie on ups and downs of being a parentįunny entertaining movie not especially for children. There are several moments like this thoughout the movie. In real life a coffin with a loved one in it, ending up i n the sewer system would be anything but funny.but, in the movie, it is like trying not to laugh during church. Their facial expressions and inability to be coherent is priceless. The anticipation and aftermath of the pain scenes make you, at the same time, you are bent over with laughter. It is a great blend of fantasty and humor. In the casting of these characters, never would I have ever dreamed of Christopher Walken playing in the role that he did. Nathan Lane is hysterical, displaying a unique comedic range. while the human characters are so bogged down with their own personal quests that they competely overlook the obvious. An ordinary mouse possesses logic, wit, survival skills, etc. Mouse Hunt does what it is intended to do.make you laugh and laugh I do. A guy who is ALWAYS looking for TRUE entertainment value Read full review I know I'll watch it over and over again and I bet you would too. From the first time I viewed this film, I immediately decided it was to become part of my collection of home movies (and you'll be glad you did too.) It is a great choice for entertaining the whole family! The only thing that I didn't like about this movie was having to return it to the video rental store that's why I bought it. ![]() This film has it all including great dialogue, excellent special effects, detailed costumes and setting, captivating suspense and adventure, a plot riddled with eccentricity, and ("hurts your guts") laugh out loud comedy. ![]() "Mouse Hunt", in my humble opinion, is destined to become legendary within the realms of Hollywood productions. Nathan Lane and Gore Verbinski, coupled with a very imaginative storyline, deliver a classic performance of very slap-stick style humor in epic proportions, with this one. If you want true entertainment value, you're looking in the right place. Looking for lots o laughs and excellent eccentricities?
